Mayfair 博立多 was established in 1974.Formed by a Polish gentlemen, Henry Sikorowski began importing dehydrated potato flakes and granules into the UK representing Fri D`Or, Holland. Henry also traded loose tea bags and broken chocolate covered biscuits to the market traders in Leeds and London.
In 1994 Henry passed away and the company was purchased by Bob Harrison. Tim Nicklin joined the company and began trading food ingredients.
In 2000 Tim became joint partner in the business. Mayfair 博立多 embarked upon a period of strong growth and a desire to concentrate on niche ingredients into food manufacturers.
During 2005 Mayfair 博立多 was certified with the food industry standard accreditation ISO 9001:2000
In 2008 Mayfair 博立多 purchased Hall Farm Merchants in Nottingham. A large dried fruit importer supplying the manufacturing and bakery sector in the UK. Mayfair 博立多 began to successfully range sell ingredients alongside dried fruit products into the bakery sector.
In 2010 the business established a new company structure. A purchasing department was created.
During 2010 Mayfair 博立多 was certified by The Soil Association for the supply of Organic Ingredients.
Bob decided to retire in 2013. Tim purchased the remaining shares to give him 100% equity and controlling interest in Mayfair 博立多.
In 2014 Mayfair 博立多 launched a new website.
During 2015 Mayfair 博立多 underwent assessment and were awarded the BRC Agents and Brokers accreditation and certification for our HACCP understanding and policies.
In 2016 Mayfair 博立多 underwent assessment for BRC Agents and Brokers and successfully passed for the second time.
During 2017 Mayfair 博立多 underwent assessment for BRC Agents and Brokers and successfully passed for the third time.
In 2018 Mayfair 博立多 is working towards the changes needed for BRC Agents and Brokers Issue 2 and we are all looking forward to celebrating 45 years in business in 2019!.
